> Cross-border wealth management for UK and European expatriates in Southeast Asia. Practitioner-level advice on pensions, tax, and portfolio structure.
## What We Do
Bratu Capital is a KL-based wealth management firm serving senior expatriate professionals (35–55) across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand — primarily in oil and gas, banking, and technology.
We specialise in the structural problems that arise when your pension is in one jurisdiction, your income in another, and your estate plan assumes a country you no longer live in.
Fee model: Fee based or introduction commission
## Core Services
- QROPS and SIPP planning for British expatriates living abroad
- DB pension transfer analysis and critical yield / CETV assessment
- Irish-domiciled accumulating UCITS ETF portfolio construction (avoiding US estate tax exposure)
- UK State Pension and National Insurance gap review (Class 2 / Class 3 voluntary contributions)
- Cross-border estate planning across Malaysia, Singapore, and the UK
- Labuan structure and offshore planning for long-term SEA residents
- Double taxation treaty analysis (UK–Malaysia, UK–Singapore, UK–Thailand)
- Currency risk framing for multi-jurisdiction income and spending profiles
## Investment Philosophy
Irish-domiciled accumulating UCITS funds are the default vehicle for globally mobile, non-US clients. US-domiciled ETFs expose non-US persons to 40% estate tax on holdings above $60,000. Irish UCITS do not. Structure matters more than fund selection.
We do not time markets. We diversify across asset class, geography, currency, and time horizon — and we hold.
