"I'm not someone to make this type of recommendation normally."

I am probably a great customer for a financial advisor because I know very little about the workings of how our pension papers, savings plans etc are going to work out when we need them too. That also means I am a great target for someone who only sees the 000's that I may or may not have to risk investing.

I'm a sceptic on this subject and for good reason but after working with Ciprian for most of this year I think this guy is something more than I've seen in financial advisors before.

"Firstly, he hasn't been trying to push any new policy or fund plan. He started by ironing out the issues with an existing policy that isn't his responsibility but he saw how badly I needed a shove to get it sorted."

All financial advisers want to get to know you, or get to know your finances. But not all advisors really have a passion for what they do, and this guy seems to have that in excess. Plus, you won't be talking to a crusty old retired bank manager who has his own scheme to sell.

You will be dealing with someone who is a family man himself with a lot of hope for his future and he has educated me on my outlook for a daughter about to get married and have children I hope, about my messy finances with ex military pension and one or two other frozen pensions from employers past. Shares stranded in one country, a dent in everything following a divorce after 10 years.

"Ciprian wouldn't have changed my mind on things had he been only a good employee making his target driven boss proud. He's better than that."

And honestly he hasn't made anything from me to date but that's not his primary focus and due to that, I trust, with caution that he will do the right thing for me and in turn that will result in a deserved fee, its only fair after all.

So, this long winded download is from a very non financial person, living in Asia a long way from home in Scotland. I'm not someone to make this type of recommendation normally but I'm now at an age and in a place where someone like Ciprian can make a huge difference for me and my family because that's what I remember he asked for and id encourage you to find 30 minutes. He deserves that in my opinion.
